Al-Qasim bin Mukhaimirah said: ‘Alqamah took hold of my hand and told me that ‘Abdullah bin Mas'ood took hold of his hand, and that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) took hold of ‘Abdullah's hand and taught him the tashahhud in prayer. He said: “Say: All compliments, prayers and pure words are due to Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous slaves of Allah.” Zuhair said: I memorised from him, in sha Allah: "I bear witness that there is no god except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger." He said: When you have finished this, or when you have done this, then you have completed your prayer; if you want to get up, then get up, and if you want to sit, then sit.
