Buying Dried Dates With Fresh Dates
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ الرُّطَبِ بِالتَّمْرِ فَقَالَ أَيَنْقُصُ إِذَا يَبِسَ . قَالُوا نَعَمْ . فَنَهَى عَنْهُ .
It was narrated that Sa 'd bin Malik said: "The Messenger of Allah was asked about (buying) said; 'Will fresh dates decrees (in weight or volume) when they dry out? 'They said 'yes so he forbade that"
