Sakeenah needs a designer to create visually compelling thumbnails for YouTube videos, cover images for content cards, and social media graphics for daily posts. The platform has an established brand — dark green (#1b4332), gold (#bd710d), clean Arabic and Latin typography — and all design work should feel consistent with that identity.
A strong thumbnail on YouTube is often the difference between a video being watched and being ignored. This role has real, measurable impact on how many people encounter the knowledge we share.
What you'll do
- Design YouTube thumbnails for each video — one per episode
- Create matching social media graphics for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok posts
- Design cover images for new content published on sakeenah.world
- Occasionally design promotional graphics for special content, Ramadan campaigns, or platform announcements
- Maintain a consistent visual identity across all outputs
- Deliver final files in correct formats and sizes for each platform
- Respond promptly to revision requests from the team
What we're looking for
- Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent
- Strong sense of typography and visual hierarchy
- Ability to work within a defined brand — not bringing your own style, but expressing the Sakeenah style
- Ability to produce multiple sizes from one concept (YouTube thumbnail, Instagram square, TikTok cover)
- Responsive and able to deliver designs on a consistent weekly schedule
- Islamic aesthetic sensibility — understands what is appropriate for Islamic content
