Sunan Abi Dawud 1117

Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat)

If A Person Enters While The Imam Is Delivering The Khutbah

This tradition has also been transmitted through a different chain of narrators by Jabir b. 'Abd Allah. This version adds: He (the Prophet) turned to the people and said: When one of you comes (on Friday) while the imam is preaching, he should pray two rak'ahs and make them short.
