Musnad Ahmad 1380

It was narrated that Abu Hayyah al-Wadiʼi and "Amr Dhu Murr said: We saw ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) doing wudoo’. He washed his hands and rinsed his mouth and nose – he said: I am not sure about rinsing the mouth and nose three times, and whether he mentioned it or not - and he washed his face three times, and his arms three times, washing each one three times, and he wiped his head and his ears. Then he took a handful of water and wiped his head with it, then he stood up straight and drank the leftover water. Then he said: This is how the Prophet (ﷺ) used to do wudoo’.
