Musnad of 'Abdullah bin al-'Abbas bin 'Abdul-Muttalib from the Prophet
It was narrated from Ibn Tawoos, from his father... that Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The people of Madinah enter ihram from Dhul Hulaifah; the people of Sham (Syria) from al-Juhfah, the people of Yemen from Yalamlam, and the people of Najd from Qarn. And he said: "And these meeqats are for the people at those very places, and besides them for those who come through those places with the intention of performing Hajj and 'Umrah; and whoever is living within these boundaries can enter ihram from his house, until he comes to the people of Makkah."
