Musnad of Abdullah bin Mas'ood
It was narrated that 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever asks of people when he has enough to suffice him, his begging will come on the Day of Resurrection like scratches or gouges on his face." It was said, O Messenger of Allah, what is sufficient for him? He said, "Fifty dirhams, or their value in gold.”
