Prescribed Punishments (Kitab Al-Hudud)
Cutting off the hand for snatching and treachery
وَبِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَيْسَ عَلَى الْخَائِنِ قَطْعٌ .
Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: He also said through this chain: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Cutting of the hand is not to be inflicted on one who is treacherous.
