Laws of Inheritance (Al-Faraa'id)
“Our property is not to be inherited, and whatever we leave is Sadaqa.”
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبَانَ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ لاَ نُورَثُ مَا تَرَكْنَا صَدَقَةٌ .
Narrated `Aisha: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Our (Messengers') property should not be inherited, and whatever we leave, is to be spent in charity."
