The Book of Purification
The Manners of Answering the Call of Nature
وَعَنِ اِبْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا; { أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -سَأَلَ أَهْلَ قُبَاءٍ, فَقَالُوا: إِنَّا نُتْبِعُ اَلْحِجَارَةَ اَلْمَاءَ } رَوَاهُ اَلْبَزَّارُ بِسَنَدٍ ضَعِيف ٍ [1] .
Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas (ﷺ): The Prophet (ﷺ) asked the residents of Quba that what had earned them the Praise of Allah and they replied, “We use water after (cleaning ourselves with) stones.” [Reported by Al-Bazzar with Da’if chain of narrators]
