The Book of Visiting the Sick
Good Words to be Uttered before a dying Person and his Family
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: يَقُولُ اللهُ تَعَالَى: مَا لِعَبْدِي المُؤْمِنِ عِنْدِي جَزَاءٌ إِذا قَبَضْتُ صَفِيَّهُ مِنْ أَهلِ الدُّنْيَا، ثُمَّ احْتَسبَهُ إِلَّا الجنه" ((رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيّ)).
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Allah, the Exalted, says: 'I have no reward except Jannah for a believing slave of Mine who shows patience and anticipates My reward when I take away his favourite one from the inhabitants of the world."' [Al-Bukhari].
